“Every single day my testimony grows and expands. It’s not a joke when you hear the cliche term “God is in the details”. I grew up with the understanding that when we do the right thing and follow the straight and narrow, we end up with Heavenly Father and get to be with him for eternity. In theory that seemed very simple.
Later, the teenagers years came and I felt like I couldn’t make a right move to save my life. Every desire I had was the wrong direction on the straight and narrow. I was going to church because I am a people pleaser and I knew it would keep everyone in my life happy.
When I was in the thick of life’s throws during my senior year of high school, I found out I was pregnant. This was a seemingly impossible challenge, something I could have never imagined for myself at that time. Instantly I knew, I couldn’t do this alone. I clung onto every word my church leaders shared with me. I prayed and prayed and then a little more. My right hand man was God and I am ashamed to say that it took a huge wake up call like that to make me realize that life isn’t meant to be lived alone. We all need HIM. Every day my testimony continues to grow through experiences and I am thankful for all of the unconditional love I’ve received from this Gospel and the people who live it.”
