FIFTY ONE

“It all started in the Fall of 2017.

We were living in the Detroit Metro area.
While my wife was scrolling through the internet, she received an ad for a free bible. We decided to take advantage of the opportunity and order it. We placed the order, then the following day we received a call to schedule a delivery time. This came as a shock to us because we did not expect the delivery to be so fast.
Two young men showed up at the door according to the schedule. After a moment of brief introduction, they presented us with the bible and a copy of the Book of Mormon. We hadn’t encountered the Book of Mormon in the past, so as you might presume, we had many questions. They asked us if it is ok for them to come back for another meeting. We agreed to their invitation.
They showed up a couple of days later, and we studied the scriptures, discussed the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the plan of happiness. A month later, we announced our baptism day.

I really felt the love of God in my life after accepting the call of baptism. Signs and wonders continued to happen in our lives and our testimony was growing daily, but we did not stop there…
During our daily prayers, we received a prompting that we should leave Michigan. We continued fasting and praying. Then it was revealed to us to move. We moved after just a few weeks after being baptized, and it was not an easy decision.
On December 18, 2017, we left Michigan and started a new journey. After a few
days, we started to worry and wondered if we really made the right choice. But God is so merciful, that we were able to find some help. We spent a night in a Westin Hotel Suite, then another night in a different hotel, all paid off by strangers that reached out a helping hand.
Before checking out of the hotel, I had a phone call with someone I never met. He was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, and he stopped his Christmas shopping and came to the hotel to see us. After he had met us, he booked two hotel rooms, and rented out a minivan for my family of 7 people. From that moment, I knew the GOSPEL was true, and GOD was taking us to a new dimension. Shortly after, we were introduced to our local Ward and had a new family in Christ.

Willing to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, my wife and I were endowed and sealed with our children in the Kansas City Temple on December 22, 2018.

We never departed from the house of God, where we serve every week as Temple Workers. And we continue to see the glory of God in our family. My family and I testify to the endless love of God, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the church of Christ, and the ordinances performed at the
temple are true, and the gospel is true.”
