SEVENTY ONE

“I was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

At the age of 3 years old I started to go to church. I want to testify that the church of Jesus Christ is restored again on the earth. The book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.
I know that God lives and he loves us. I know that Jesus Christ is our savior and he is the Son of God. I declare by the knowledge I received in this church that is true, and I continue to increase my faith in Christ by reading the scriptures and praying with faith. I know that the plan of Salvation is the plan of God for his children.

We are on earth because we chose to follow Heavenly Father’s plan. One significant purpose of mortality is to gain a physical body. On earth we can have joy and peace, but we will also face temptation, opposition, and adversity and experience trials. I know that Earthly trials are part of mortality and can help us grow to be more like our Heavenly Father.
I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is essential to the plan. Jesus overcame spiritual and physical death and took upon Himself our afflictions, sorrows, and sins.
I know that agency, or the ability to choose is also essential to the plan. When we choose to repent of our sins, we choose to accept the gift of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
If we have qualified through repentance, we will be able to live forever with our loving Heavenly Parents.”
